Mr. And Mrs. Thomas Smith and daughters, Patricia and Jane, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. And Mrs. LeRoy Chellis, in Piercefield. Mrs. Smith's brother, Recruit Mark Chellis, of Newport, R.I. was also visiting his parents.

Harold G. Wood of Ogdensburg spent Wednesday here with his mother, Mrs. Sophia Wood. Mr. Wood has been a patient in Hepburn Hospital in Ogdensburg where he recently underwent a major operation.

Fred Morgan is a patient in Potsdam Hospital where he underwent a major operation on Monday.

Mrs. Fay G. Hunter was hostess to the Contract Bridge club at her home on North Main St., Wednesday evening. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Charles Post, Mrs. Harold Mackey and Mrs. Legouri Claffey.

Luther Loomis, son of Mrs. Mable Loomis, Elm St., underwent a major operation on Thursday morning in Potsdam Hospital. Dr. Lloyd T. McNulty performed the operation.

Mr. And Mrs. John Pringle, Depot street, are both patients at the Potsdam Nursing Home in Potsdam.

Mr. And Mrs. Gerald R. Dockum spent Saturday in Watertown.

Mr. And Mrs. Walter McCarthy, 33 Clark street, are parents of a son, John Walter, born at Potsdam General Hospital on Jan. 4, and weighing three pounds, five ounces. Mrs. McCarthy is the former Miss Marjorie Willard, daughter of Mrs. Blanche Nichols. Mr. And Mrs. McCarthy have two other sons, Ronald 77 (sic) and David 7.

Mrs. William F. Borrman, librarian at the Norwood Public Library has announced new library hours now in effect. The library is now open on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2 until 5 p.m. and from 7 until 9 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Murray and son John moved Saturday from the Reynolds apartment to their home at 3 Spring street which they recently purchased from Mr. And Mrs. Kenneth McQuown. Mr. And Mrs. McQuown and children Wavelyn, Sandra and Leaburn recently moved to Rochester where Mr. McQuown has been employed for the past …. months.

Mrs. Bernard Wolstenholme has returned to her home on Park St., from Potsdam Hospital where she was confined after being struck by a car on Main street on December 26.

Mr. And Mrs. Donald Fetter of Massena were weekend guests of his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Philip C. Fetter and family.
