H.M. Kinsman Company From the April 28, 1920 Potsdam Courier & Freeman:
Norwood, April 28---The H.M. Kinsman Company, which began its business in Norwood in 1888, has become one of the largest wholesale and retail establishments in Northern New York. The company handles automobiles, trucks, carriages, wagons, sleighs, harness, farm machinery of all kinds, horses, fur coats and robes, and accessories for many of their lines. So rapid has been the growth of this company's business that it has been found necessary to enlarge its quarters from time to time in order to accommodate the trade.
Seven years ago they began the manufacture of Norwood milk wagons. This wagon has, on account of its durability, become very popular and one of the most used light wagons in this section. Five years ago this company began the manufacture of sleds, and their sleds, like their milk wagons, have been a great success. The Kinsman Company advertise their wagons and sleds to stand up, and that they do stand up is evidenced by the increasing demand for them.
This spring the company made a few truck bodies, and no sooner had they become known than the demand for them began to increase. Now the Kinsman Company contemplate enlarging their Baldwin avenue factory to meet this demand. They have at present an order for two carloads of these truck bodies for a Syracuse concern, besides several smaller orders.
The Kinsman company prides itself on putting good material into its wagons, sleds and truck bodies and this, with good workmanship, produces an article that commands the trade.
