The Collins-Ashley Wedding

Mr. Frank L. Collins, of this village, and Miss Blanche Louise Ashley, of Norwood were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. And Mrs. L. R. Ashley, in Norwood, Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Thompson, pastor of the Congregational church at Norwood, officiating.

The residence was elegantly decorated with palms, smilax, and cut flowers. The bride was beautifully attired in white organdie over white silk, and carried white rose buds. Miss Charlotte David , of Fulton, served as bridesmaid, and Mr. Burr Foster, of Burlington, Vt. As groomsman. Mr. Fred Worthing and Mr. Charles Ashley served as ushers.

After the ceremony was performed an elegant repast was served in the dining room, Mrs. Sarah Sanford serving as caterer. The table and dining room were profusely decorated with bouquets and cut flowers. A large and elegant variety of presents was also received, and were much admired. Quite a number of fine presents were also sent to the home of the groom in Potsdam.

After the festivities Mr. and Mrs. Collins outwitted the company and departed for Ogdensburg without the customary shower of rice and old shoes, taking the morning train east, intending to visit Boston and other points, and be at home, at No. 96 Main Street soon. Mr. Collins is head bookkeeper in the People's Bank of Potsdam and has many friends in town who will unite in wishing the newly married couple a long and happy married life. Miss Ashley is quite an accomplished pianist and will also be heartily welcomed to musical circles in town.
